EV Charger Installation in Batavia, IL
We install Level 2 EV chargers at your home or business. We check your panel first, pull the permit, run a dedicated circuit, and make sure everything is up to code. We work with Tesla, Ford, GM, Rivian, and every other brand.
What this actually involves
A Level 2 charger runs on 240 volts and needs its own dedicated circuit — it is not something to hang off an existing one. The first question is always whether the panel has the capacity and the physical space for the breaker. That check comes before anything is ordered, because the answer sometimes changes the job.
What we handle
Panel capacity check first. We look at what your service can actually carry before quoting the charger.
Permit pulled and inspection handled. The paperwork is part of the job, not an extra you chase.
Dedicated 240V circuit. Correctly sized for the charger you are installing.
Any brand. Tesla, Ford, GM, Rivian and the rest — the wiring is what matters.
Garage, driveway or outdoor mounting. Outdoor runs get the right rated enclosure and conduit.
Commercial installs too. Workplace and multi-bay setups, not just single-car garages.
Straight answers
Do I need a panel upgrade to install an EV charger?
Sometimes, and it is the first thing we check. A Level 2 charger adds a substantial continuous load, and whether your existing service can carry it depends on the panel's rating and what is already on it. Plenty of homes are fine as they are. We tell you which before you buy anything.
Is a permit really necessary?
Yes. An EV charger is a new dedicated circuit and it is permitted work. Doing it without one risks an insurance problem later and can complicate a house sale. We pull it as part of the job.
How long does an installation take?
It depends on the distance from the panel to where the charger goes and what the route looks like. A straightforward garage install next to the panel is very different from a run to a detached garage. We give you the timeline once we have seen it.
Can you install a charger I already bought?
Yes. Bring the unit and we will install it, as long as it is a listed product suitable for the location.
