What this actually involves
On a commercial job the electrical work is rarely the only trade on site, and the schedule is usually somebody else's. Being where we said we would be, when we said, is most of the value — a crew that does not show up holds up everyone behind it.
What we handle
Tenant build-outs. New space fit-outs from rough-in to final.
Commercial lighting. Including layout changes and LED retrofits.
Service upgrades. When the existing service no longer suits the use.
Working to a GC's schedule. We coordinate with the other trades rather than around them.
Small-business premises. Shops, offices and units, not only large projects.
Repairs and fault-finding. The same diagnostic work, on a commercial service.
Straight answers
Do you work with general contractors?
Yes — regularly. We are used to working to someone else's programme and coordinating with the other trades on site.
Can you work outside business hours to avoid disruption?
Often, yes. Where work would interrupt trading it is usually better done outside opening hours, and that gets planned into the quote rather than added afterwards.
Do you handle permits on commercial jobs?
Yes, permitted work is pulled and inspected as part of the job.
What size jobs do you take?
From a single unit fit-out upwards. The best way to find out whether we are the right fit is to tell us what the job is.
