Accessibility
We want anyone to be able to use this site to reach an electrician, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, or a magnified display.
What we are aiming at
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We are working toward that standard rather than claiming we have met all of it, because we have checked and we have not — the known gaps are listed below.
What this site already does
- Every form field has a visible label attached to it, and required fields say so to screen readers as well as on screen.
- Every section of every page is announced with its own heading, and each page has exactly one main heading.
- Photographs carry text descriptions. Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers so they do not read out as noise.
- The site works at phone width without sideways scrolling.
- Our phone number is a real link that dials, and it is labelled as a phone call rather than read out as a string of digits.
What we know is not right yet
Being straight about this is more useful than a badge:
- The gold stars on our reviews are low-contrast. They are decoration: the rating is written out as text beside them and read aloud as "5 out of 5 stars" by screen readers, so nothing is lost if you cannot see them clearly.
If something does not work for you
Tell us and we will fix it, and in the meantime we will just deal with you directly — call 331-230-5878 or email dkelectric123@gmail.com. You will not be passed around. If the website is in your way, the phone works.
Getting a quote another way
Nothing on this site has to be used to hire us. Call us and we will take the details over the phone.
